By accessing or using PulseShield ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
"PulseShield", "we", "us", "our" refers to the sole trader operating pulseshield.co.uk and admin.pulseshield.co.uk. "You" and "your" refers to the user of the Service.
PulseShield provides automated security scanning tools that examine websites and produce reports. We are a tool, not a consultancy. PulseShield is NOT a managed penetration testing service, managed security service provider (MSSP), or security consultancy.
We provide automated scan results and reports. We do not provide security advice, remediation services, or manual testing. Any actions you take based on scan results are your responsibility alone.
By default, all PulseShield scans are passive. Passive scans observe and analyse publicly accessible information about a target without sending crafted attack payloads. Passive scanning includes:
Active testing is ONLY performed when you explicitly enable it and confirm you are authorised. Active testing may include brute-force checks, authentication testing, injection probing, and other techniques that send crafted requests to the target.
Active testing is never enabled by default. You must manually toggle it on AND tick a confirmation checkbox before any active test runs. The confirmation reads:
"I confirm I have explicit authorisation to perform active security testing on this target and accept full responsibility."
By ticking this box, you confirm you have written authorisation from the target's owner to conduct active security testing.
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have permission to test any target. This applies to both passive and active scans.
Before scanning any domain, you must confirm one or more of the following:
Unauthorised scanning of third-party systems may constitute a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 or equivalent legislation in other jurisdictions.
